Country Women's Council
The objective of Country Women's Council USA is: to unite in a cooperative, working organization, the USA societies affiliated with the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW), whose rural and urban members represent varied races, nationalities and creeds; who believe that communication based on friendship and understanding will advance peace and progress; and who believe that the quality of life is improved for all people through the following:
- The relief of poverty
- The advancement of education
- The relief of sickness and the protection and preservation of health.
Member national umbrella societies from the USA include: American Farm Bureau Women (AFBW), National Master Farm Homemaker's Guild (NMFHG), National Volunteer Outreach Network (NVON), and Woman's National Farm and Garden Association, Inc. (WNFGA).
Local and state societies also may be members of CWC-USA; some of those included are in WNFGA - Michigan Division, New York Division and the Ohio Division. There are nineteen Affiliated Societies from around the country, who belong and support the work of CWCUSA and ACWW, but do not belong to an umbrella organization. The work of all these organizations is valued and appreciated.
Country Women's Council USA offers an annual scholarship in honor of Ruth B. Sayer, past USA Area President (1947-1953). This scholarship is offered to a woman who is a resident of North or South America, who shows financial need and has the ability to complete her education.
The Board of CWC-USA is chosen on a rotation basis, giving WNF&GA the current position of Recording Secretary.
CWC-USA issued the official invitation on behalf of all USA members of ACWW for the 2010 Triennial Conference and is the coordinating body, with the Triennial Conference Committee (TCC) of ACWW.
