Internships
The Woman's National Farm & Garden Association generously donates a minimum of $6200 to support an internship at
the National Arboretum in Washington DC every year.
- Renaud-Peterson Arboretum
Internship
This internship goes to one student every year and is designated
for work done at the Dogwood Gardens in the National Arboretum in
Washington, DC.
Through our internship program which the WNFGA has
supported for many years, the USNA has offered hands-on horticultural
training experience, educational opportunities and insight into
public garden management to well over a hundred interns.
Their web address is www.usna.usda.gov.
- The Frances Plate Bequest
Fund
This fund was inspired by Mrs. William B. Plate who, through her
dedication, devotion and long service, 1930-1967, to the WNF&GA
has received this special recognition.
The WNF&GA donates $1000.00,
each year, to the Student Conservation Association whose motto is
"changing lives through service to nature". The SCA enrolled
two thousand volunteers for service at over 400 parks in every one
of our nation's fifty states.
